Using the Float Option
The Float/Dock button will toggle the workspace windows between floating and tabbed windows. This feature allows you to view more than one image at a time and move the images and panels to different locations in the application.
This feature is in the Workspace group on the Image tab’s ribbon.
Normally, when the workspace windows are set to Dock, the images appear as a stack of tabbed pages allowing you to view one image at a time.
When you switch to the Float view, several images can be viewed at once, arranged according to the selected display option, Cascade, Tile Vertically, or Tile Horizontally. Select a display option from the pull-down Float/Dock menu.
Floating Panels
A unique feature of Image-Pro is the ability to select between floating and docked panels. The images panel, details panel, mini-histogram panel, or other workspace areas can be moved independently from the main image workspace. This may be particularly useful when working with a dual-monitor system, as you may want to display the image on one monitor and the details on the other.
